Real Madrid Young Talent Arda Güler has reached personal terms with Manchester City and is set to join the Club this January to replace Injured Rodr

Arda Guler’s next move might lead him to the Premier League.

Manchester City and Arsenal are two of three teams considering a deal for Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler, with City’s efforts directly related to mounting rumors that Kevin De Bruyne is going.

De Bruyne, 33, is in the final year of his contract with Manchester City. According to Sky Sports Switzerland reporter Sacha Tavolieri, the club has already begun ‘first discussions’ on a new contract with the creative genius. City is more concerned with Tavolieri’s later remark that De Bruyne is “unlikely to renew his contract.”

According to the article, rather than seeking a late-career payout in Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne and his family would like to play in Major League Soccer in the United States.

The most ‘concrete’ idea available to De Bruyne at the time is Californian club San Diego FC, an expansion team that will participate in their inaugural MLS season in 2025. The signing of De Bruyne is precisely the kind of star signing that would help put the club on the map.

With De Bruyne’s future at Manchester City uncertain beyond this season, the club must begin to look for a suitable replacement.

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, City is one of three clubs interested in Real Madrid and Turkey player Arda Guler. The others are Arsenal and Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, both of whom see Guler as a possible successor if Florian Wirtz leaves next year.

The article stated that a Manchester City approach for Guler would be tied to De Bruyne’s status. If the Belgian maestro stays, an approach is unlikely.

However, if he goes as Tavolieri implies, Real Madrid may soon have a challenge to keep a player who is highly respected but cannot find a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven.
