Premier League have just announced the shocking VAR Error By referees of Manchester City VS Chelsea- PGMOL under scrutiny over surprising VAR mistake made by The Referee during the Chelsea Match after Nicholas Jackson was ruled Out as Offside

Everton fans expressed outrage after referee Simon Hooper appeared to disregard the use of the primary VAR monitor when he overturned his initial decision to award Dominic Calvert-Lewin a penalty against Brighton on Saturday.

In the early stages of the second half, during Everton’s 3-0 defeat, Lewis Dunk seemingly fouled Calvert-Lewin, leading to what many believed was a clear penalty opportunity for Everton to reduce the deficit. However, Hooper was called to review the decision on the VAR screen and subsequently changed his ruling, deciding against awarding the penalty.

This decision sparked anger among Everton supporters, with many describing the reversal as “shocking” and criticizing the failure to award what they saw as a “stonewall” penalty. Adding to the frustration, the primary VAR monitor did not display a replay of the incident but instead showed Premier League and VAR logos, prompting Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to approach the referee in protest.

According to a match report and Mail Sport, the Premier League later confirmed that Hooper was asked to review the incident on a backup monitor, adding further controversy to the handling of the situation.
