Pep Guardiola broke down in tears after Key Manchester City Star boy who was suppose to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured this evening
Oscar Bobb, a top player for Manchester City, had a horrific injury just a few days before the new Premier League season began.
Oscar Bobb was expected to be a key component of Man City’s attempt to win a Premier League title in 2024–25, which would be a record-extending fifth consecutive year.
In a number of cameo appearances during the previous season, the 21-year-old winger left a positive impression. In January, he scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle.
Bobb had a great preseason with City and assisted in setting up City’s equalizer against Manchester United on Saturday in the Community Shield.
The news that Bobb had broken a bone in his leg surfaced on Wednesday, just when it appeared that the Norway international would be among Pep Guardiola’s first choices on the right wing this season.
Early on Wednesday night, there were rumors going around before Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail officially confirmed the news.
Bobb will be out of commission for several months, even though City has not finished their assessment in its entirety.
Savio, a recent addition, replaces Bobb as Guardiola’s primary choice on the right wing, but Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden can also play there.
Due to this serious injury setback and Julian Alvarez’s transfer to Atletico Madrid, City may need to look for a new attacker.
On Sunday, August 18, City will play Chelsea in their Premier League title defense, which could be a difficult trip to Stamford Bridge.
