“Pep Guardiola Bid to sign Serie A defender for £70 million but the bid was rejected the club wants £90 million

After talks, Manchester City has been advised to pay £78 million for Guardiola’s target.
Manchester City have been informed of the fee for signing Pep Guardiola target Leny Yoro from Lille.

Le10sport in France revealed the figure.

So, what’s the latest on Leny Yoro, a Manchester City target? Let us have a look…

Leny Yoro’s latest news
According to le10sport, Manchester City has recently initiated talks to sign the 18-year-old.

Manchester United, according to the French news agency, is also in talks.

According to an update from le10sport, Lille wants €90 million (£78 million) to sell the defender in 2024.

PSG and Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in signing Yoro, and Lille apparently believes that posting a £78 million price tag will trigger a bidding war.

Of course, a deal might be struck for less than £78 million in the summer.

Le10sport believes Lille set the exorbitant price for Yoro after receiving interest in a January transfer – something the Ligue 1 club has no wish to do.

This season, the teenager has been a revelation for Lille, scoring three goals in 21 games to solidify his place in the starting XI.

Manchester City should be put off by the cost.
While Manchester City is one of the few clubs that can afford to pay the asking amount, the Citizens must resist doing so.

Yoro still has a lot to prove, and spending £78 million on an 18-year-old with only 37 senior club appearances would be a huge risk.

Manchester City, after all, only recently spent £77.6 million on Josko Gvardiol, who is still finding his way at the Etihad Stadium.

Gary Neville believes the Croatian has had difficulties.

As a result, it would make sense to prioritise Gvardiol and ensure the Croatia international adjusts to life in the Premier League before spending another large sum on a second defensive possibility.
