OFFICIAL – Arsenal star have left the club following the arrival of Arsenal’s second signing as player spotted at the Airport on his way to NEW CLUB.
Following the acquisition of David Raya from Brentford in the summer, Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has assumed the position of the club’s second choice. Speculation has arisen regarding Petr Cech’s potential departure from Arsenal in the January transfer window, as suggested by Dan Kilpatrick.
In October, Kilpatrick engaged in a conversation with Ramsdale, who expressed concerns about his future at Arsenal. Ramsdale, having recently lost his starting position to David Raya, conveyed that if he couldn’t reclaim his spot in the Arsenal lineup, he would contemplate other options due to apprehensions about his place in the England squad.
During the Transfer Show on Sky Sports, Kilpatrick shared insights from his discussion with Ramsdale:
“I spoke with Aaron Ramsdale while he was on England duty in October.”
“He mentioned that, having recently lost his place to David Raya, if he couldn’t regain his position in the Arsenal team, he would need to consider his options, given his concerns about his England spot.”
“Participating only in domestic cup competitions, and with Arsenal now out of both, his prospects of playing in the second half of the season seem dim.”
Despite joining Arsenal for £30 million in 2021 and initially displacing Bernd Leno as the primary goalkeeper, Ramsdale has only featured in five Premier League matches this season. Eager for more playing time, he aims to enhance his chances with the England national team for Euro 2024.
