Mason Greenwood has accepted a move from Manchester United and everyone in this deal will end up happy

Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United attacker, is allegedly set to leave the club this summer.

Greenwood, 22, will return to United in the coming weeks after a spectacular loan spell with Spanish club Getafe, where he scored eight goals and supplied six assists in La Liga, winning the club’s Player of the Year title.

Greenwood has not played for United since he was arrested in January 2022 on allegations of attempted rape, controlling conduct, and violence, which were subsequently dropped. The athlete refuted all claims made against him.

While United declared earlier this week that Greenwood will remain with the club, it appears that he will continue his career elsewhere.

Several prominent European teams have expressed interest in signing the striker, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund.
However, he appears to be planning a move to Italy.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via The Metro), Greenwood has already expressed ‘yes’ to a potential move to Serie A powerhouse Juventus.

United are reportedly eager to sell Greenwood this summer, with an asking price of €35-40 million (£30-34 million).

Juventus are sure they can negotiate a cheaper sum and are seeking for ‘advantageous formulae’ to close the deal.
According to reports, Juve might utilize either Samuel Iling-Junior or Federico Chiesa in a prospective swap deal for Greenwood, who is entering the last year of his contract at United.

Greenwood has been tight-lipped about his future plans, but he did praise Getafe in a rare public remark at the end of his loan with the Spanish club.

“I am really thankful to the Getafe family and supporters for a fantastic season; thank you for making me feel welcome and like one of your own. “I treasured every second with my teammates and club,” Greenwood said on Instagram.
