Manchester United star Casemiro has left Old Trafford this morning to join his former Manchester United teammate in Saudi Arabia after terminating his contract with Man United
Fans have been astonished to learn how much Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr is willing to pay for Manchester United’s Casemiro.
A number of Saudi Pro League clubs are interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder, including champions Al Hilal.
Al Nassr, owned by Cristiano Ronaldo, sees him as a top priority for strengthening their roster for the upcoming season.
Initial negotiations have been conducted between the two sides, with Casemiro reportedly interested in joining a number of high-profile players in Saudi Arabia.
Following a disappointing second season at Manchester United, the former Real Madrid player’s status has plummeted dramatically.
Surprisingly, Caught Offside reports that Al Nassr are willing to give up to €100 million (£85 million) for the 32-year-old.
The price would fall just shy of a Saudi club record cost, trailing only the £86 million Al Hilal spent to sign Brazilian compatriot Neymar.
One person wrote, “Imagine we got that much for him.”
A second responded: @AlNassrFC_EN. I speak for all Manchester United fans when I say that if you give us that much money, we would all buy one Al Nassr shirt apiece.”
Another stated, “I will personally drive him there.”
A fourth said, “This must be a joke. “Take it and run.”
