Manchester United Manager Erig Ten Hag has been sacked this evening by Sir Jim Ratcliffe after taking over Manchester Unuted for just Two weeks
Gabby Agbonlahor, a former Premier League striker and ABU (anything but United) spokesman on talkSPORT, has called for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag to be fired.
When former professionals come out and ask for individuals in the game, it is perilous area. That is why the top pundits are rarely heard since they can analyse the game more effectively.
Agbonlahor was having another go at United fans last week before of the 2-1 defeat to Fulham, accusing them of ‘living in the past’ and being the worst group of fans in terms of insults.
United entered Saturday’s game unbeaten in 2024. Yes, the performance was horrible, but yelling from the rooftops on radio that Ten Hag should be fired after losing to Fulham seems like a stretch.
The result dashed United’s hopes of finishing in the top four, as Aston Villa defeated Nottingham Forest 4-2 over the weekend. Unai Emery’s side is now eight points clear of the Reds in fourth place.
Speaking to Jamie O’Hara on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor stated, “Today was justice.”
“United has been getting away with poor performances while still winning games, but today they received exactly what they deserved.
“Manchester United today were a disgrace to that football club.”
How delusional would Ten Hag appear if his greatest players were available this season? Of course, Agbonlahor will disregard that for his own purpose and want to see a man fired.
There is no disputing that Ten Hag is under tremendous pressure to propel United into the top four.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment and changes to the club structure, they may consider changing the manager.
United return to FA Cup action on Wednesday night, facing Nottingham Forest in the fifth round.
