Manchester United FLOP Marcus Rashford has brutally replied to Garath Southgate after he was left out of the England Squad for the Euros 202
Marcus Rashford turned to social media to reply to his exclusion from England’s preliminary selection for the Euro 2024 tournament this summer.
Gareth Southgate decided to leave the Manchester United forward out of his preliminary squad in favour of Anthony Gordon, Eberechi Eze, Jack Grealish, and Jarrod Bowen.
When asked to explain his choice, Southgate argued that others participating simply had better seasons at club level than Rashford, who scored seven goals and two assists in 33 Premier League games this season.
Rashford then rushed to social media to respond to the news.
“Wishing Gareth and the guys all the best for the next (sic) event,” he said, with a graphic showing England’s newest roster.
Rashford had been a regular starter for Erik ten Hag this season, but he suffered an injury in April that sidelined him for four games, and he was only able to come off the bench in United’s last two games.
The 26-year-old is the latest casualty of England’s abundance of offensive quality.
Jadon Sancho, a United teammate who has flourished on loan with Borussia Dortmund, has not played for England since October 2021 after Southgate questioned his club form, while Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling remains out of the picture following his surprise absence from the 2022 World Cup.
At club level, Rashford is one of the United stars rumored to be available this summer for the right price. According to 90min, Paris Saint-Germain sees Rashford as a potential successor for Kylian Mbappe.
