Manchester City’s punishment has been announced if found guilty of breaking financial rules

Geoff Shreeves, a former reporter for Sky Sports, contends that Manchester City ought to be demoted from the Premier League if they are found guilty of breaking financial rules.
It has been a whole year since City was allegedly found to have broken 115 financial fair play regulations from 2009 to 2018. The club disputes all of the allegations.
Everton’s 10-point loss has brought the case for City back into focus. The outcome of the Toffees’ appeal against the penalty is still pending. They and Nottingham Forest have been charged with additional offences.
If City is found guilty, they should be demoted, maybe by more than one level, considering the severity of Everton’s sentence. Shreeves shared his thoughts on the matter.
He stated, “The Everton and Manchester City charges are very different,” in an interview with Lucky Block. Direct comparisons between the two are impossible, although Everton maintained communication with the Premier League throughout the entire process.
“I believe that Manchester City will take it to court, but not for at least another two years.” There’s a very, very long way to go. If City is proven guilty, I don’t think the Premier League would have any other choice except to relegate them.
“With those point deductions against Everton, they’ve established a precedent.” Their main demand was a 12-point reduction in points. Thus, it must be possible; it must exist.
Guardiola has declared he will stay with City if they are dropped to League One, a division they haven’t competed in since 1998–1999…
Many Premier League teams, including pundit Gary Neville, have demanded that the league expedite City’s appeal in order to provide other clubs with clarity on the situation.
