Manchester City striker leaves Guardiola’s side this morning to join Premier League Rivals for Shocking transfer fee

Liam Delap, a Manchester City striker, has joined recently promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town on a permanent basis.

The England Under-21 international made his Manchester City first-team debut in September 2020, under boss Pep Guardiola.

He produced a wonderful goal as Guardiola’s side defeated Bournemouth 2-1 in the Carabao Cup third round at the Etihad Stadium.

Delap went on to make six professional games for Manchester City, including his Premier League debut against Leicester in September 2020 and a Champions League match away to Sporting in February 2021.

He has had loan stints with Stoke City and Preston North End.

“Everyone at City wishes Liam the best of luck with his future endeavors,” Man City said in part on Saturday.
