“Manchester City is the most easiest team to play in the champions League, the are just overhyped nothing more with Thier flop Erling Haaland- Federico Valverde now shares which team he thinks actually play better football

Federico Valverde has shared his opinion on whether club, Real Madrid or Manchester City, played superior football in the second leg.

Valverde is talking to which side has played a greater brand of football for the most of the season.

Manchester City, unlike Real Madrid, has not dominated its league this season, which allows for this assertion.

On Wednesday, Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad Stadium seemed to be the obvious choice.

According to the official Champions League website, the data are undeniably accurate.

Manchester City created 120 assaults, compared to 19 for Real Madrid.

The Sky Blues also completed 865 passes compared to the Spanish giants’ 402 on the night.

A look at the statistics shows Manchester City dominated proceedings against Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

However, football is not a stat-driven sport.

Ultimately, the game is about achieving outcomes.

The Spanish giants capitalized and crossed the finish line, and they deserve all of the accolades that comes their way.

However, it would be unfair to be too critical of City since they played well enough to win, and chance ultimately determines which side wins a penalty shootout.

Following the game, Federico Valverde agreed that Manchester City were playing superior football than Real Madrid heading into the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.

“Madrid always delivers; it’s part of football. The opponents came into the game stronger, playing better football than us, and were considered favorites. But we are Madrid, so we dug in, defended effectively, and battled hard. That’s how we won the game,” he explained [via Real Madrid’s official website].

The acknowledgment by Valverde is revealing.
For starters, Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde’s admission demonstrates how highly regarded Manchester City are by some of the world’s greatest players.

A player from a club of Los Merengues’ status is unlikely to raise their hands and claim that another team has played better football than them.

But Valverde did, and we believe he deserves appreciation for his honesty.

Simultaneously, the Uruguayan’s admission demonstrates that Real Madrid has a single-minded goal of winning, whilst City has a similar attitude but focuses on how they want to play much more than their European opponents.

This football philosophy is just a result of the two teams’ cultural differences.
