Man City manager Pep Guardiola is set ‘to leave’ Man City next summer as club draws up elite four-man shortlist

Pep Guardiola is likely to LEAVE Manchester City next summer and the club have already drawn up a spectacular four-man shortlist.

Guardiola guided Man City to their fourth consecutive Premier League title this season.

He has an unbelievable six league championships to his record since joining at the Etihad back in 2016.

But Guardiola is set to call pause on his Man City management career at the conclusion of next season, according to The Daily Mail.

The Spaniard has just 12 months left on his current contract as sources anticipate he will move away once his agreement ends.

Man City will allow Guardiola time to make a final choice on his future and want him to continue in command, having guided the club to 15 major trophies, including earning a first Champions League triumph.

The club’s administration fear that his ninth year will herald the end of his astonishing stint although they underline that there has been no formal hint either way from him.

Club executives have their sights on four managers ahead of being faced with replacing the 53-year-old.

The source adds that Girona’s Michel, Julian Nagelsmann, Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi are all expected to be in the race to succeed Guardiola in the summer of 2025.

Nagelsmann, who will take command of Germany at Euro 2024, is committed until 2026 and has expertise of managing Bayern Munich.

Alonso, who turned down the chance to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, is highly thought of following his great success at Bayer Leverkusen.

Guardiola admires De Zerbi, who is now without a team after leaving Brighton.
