Arsenal Gunners News

Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool coach, reacts to Arsenal’s latest transfer news, reporting Mikel Arteta to FIFA for agreeing personal terms to sign Liverpool’s top target. “Arteta is k!lling our beautiful game… He’s signing all the players I instructed Liverpool to sign before I left, but this very last one, I won’t watch him get the deal done, something must be done now”

Tottenham Hotspur is preparing to engage in negotiations for the acquisition of Feyenoord’s standout player Santiago Giménez this summer. However, they face competition from Arsenal, according to a report by the Mexican outlet Fox Sports.

Tottenham has already enhanced their squad with the signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United and is nearing a deal for South Korean talent Min-Hyuk Yang, though Yang is not anticipated to join the senior team next season.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly eager to bolster the team’s attacking options. While Jonathan David and Ivan Toney have been linked to the club, Santiago Giménez has emerged as a notable target.

Fox Sports indicates that both Tottenham and Arsenal are vying for Giménez’s signature, with several other prominent clubs, including Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid, also expressing interest.

Although no formal offers have been made by either Tottenham or Arsenal, Giménez’s agent and father are expected to travel to Europe to discuss potential moves with the interested clubs.

Giménez has just commenced pre-season training with Feyenoord following his participation in the Copa America. He has four years remaining on his contract, allowing Feyenoord to demand a significant transfer fee. According to Transfermarkt, the player is valued at approximately £34 million.

The 23-year-old had an outstanding previous season, recording 23 goals and six assists in 30 Eredivisie matches. This performance has made him a highly attractive prospect for both North London clubs. The competition between Tottenham and Arsenal for Giménez’s signature is poised to be a significant storyline in this transfer window.
