Jubilation rocks Stamford bridge as two players who is supposed to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured in training and has been ruled out for 4 weeks

Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof, Manchester United defenders, will be out for at least a month with muscle problems.

Lindelof was replaced by Argentinian centre-back Martinez after leaving Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Brentford due to a hamstring injury.

However, the club announced on Tuesday night that the latter has suffered a calf strain during training and will miss United’s next several games, beginning with Thursday’s league fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

United have struggled with injuries throughout a disappointing season. Martinez, fellow defenders Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw, as well as summer acquisition Mason Mount, have all missed significant amounts of time this season.

Erik ten Hag will next address the media on Wednesday, providing updates on players such as Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans as the United manager deals with a defensive crisis.

United have struggled with injuries throughout an unimpressive season. They have nine league games remaining this season, beginning with Chelsea away on Thursday and ending with an Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City later this month.

Ten Hag’s squad is now sixth in the Premier League, 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, but with a game in hand. They face Chelsea on Thursday before hosting Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
