Pep Guardiola’s team confirmed this in a statement on their website before of their Premier League match against West Ham United on Saturday.

“Joao Cancelo has signed a permanent agreement with Al Hilal,” Man City said in part.

Cancelo signed Manchester City from Juventus in the summer of 2019.

The Portugal international has previously had loan stints with Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

After completing his transfer to Al Hilal, Cancelo told Man City’s website: “I would want to wish everyone at City continued success in the future.

“I experienced several extremely remarkable memories throughout my tenure at this wonderful club.”
