Jack Grealish loves his football more than anyone else in the Manchester City squad and he couldn’t take the pain
It was clear that Jack Grealish was upset after getting hurt again against Luton Town.
Grealish has been hurt a lot this season, and it was terrible that he had to leave the game against Copenhagen early.
Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick with three assists from Kevin De Bruyne in the FA Cup match against Luton. He was asked to play again.
But before halftime, the former captain of Aston Villa had to leave the game because of an injury. Jeremy Doku came on in his place.
It was terrible for Grealish, and staff and players on the bench had to comfort him.
He then put his coat over his head to try to hide how he felt.
Haaland scored a stunning hat-trick that put City ahead 3-0. However, Luton pulled one back thanks to an amazing goal from last season’s play-off final hero Jordan Clark.
Grealish has been having trouble with his groyne lately, and it remains to be seen if this is a repeat of the same problem.
Pep Guardiola praised the £100 million player in the press meeting before the Luton game, but he also told him to prove why he should play.
“I said from the start that we need him,” Guardiola said. He brings something special to our team. But it’s up to him. We hope he has a good last three months.
“I can’t let players get used to playing for three or four games. They need to get into a flow so they can play for 90 minutes or 20 minutes.
“At that level, the team doesn’t wait until they’re fit.” You can’t just give someone three or four games to get fit. What about the 10 people who don’t play? They shouldn’t have to play, right?
“You need to see the training and all the little things.” I already agree with the players. They need to tell themselves “yes, they deserve to play.”
