“If Chelsea wants to win the Caroba Cup today he has to start for the team””He is the next Kevin De Bruyne he has to be unleashed against Liverpool-pundit has instructed Pochettino to Start Star player against Liverpool
Chelsea has been told why Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher are critical to their hopes of winning the Carabao Cup.
On Sunday, the Blues will face Liverpool in the final at Wembley Stadium, with Mauricio Pochettino looking for his first trophy as manager. Chelsea overcame Middlesbrough in the semi-finals, while Liverpool triumphed over Fulham in two legs.
Pochettino’s first season at Stamford Bridge has seen the club win cup competitions but have had an uneven Premier League record. Chelsea is in the fifth round of the FA Cup as well as the Carabao Cup final, but they are 10th in the top division standings, far below the top four.
Palmer and Gallagher have been significant performers in Chelsea’s midfield this season. Gallagher has three goals in his previous three Blues games, while Palmer has 14 in all competitions since joining from Manchester City this summer.
Pat Nevin, a Chelsea icon, has stated why he’s pleased to see his former club return to Wembley Stadium for a major final. Nevin also believed that strong performances from Palmer and Gallagher may be required for the Blues to defeat Liverpool.
“After Roman Abramovich left, I remember saying that I didn’t think I’d be at a Chelsea final in my lifetime,” Nevin was quoted as saying by Lucky Block.
“Chelsea’s best players will be required to perform at the highest level.” They need players who are energetic, like Cole Palmer.
“Cole Palmer might become the next Kevin De Bruyne. I’ve mentioned that previously and received a lot of criticism for it. I even shouted it on national radio while he was still with Manchester City!
“I don’t make bombastic or exaggerated statements, so this was a big statement. If you watch Palmer, you can see it right now. He picks the right ball and creates everything. He’s the one who makes Chelsea unique.
“If Palmer stays fit and Conor Gallagher continues to deliver lively performances, Chelsea might win the League Cup.
“However, it’s critical that their midfield performs as it did against Aston Villa. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez must sustain that level, as they learned a lesson at Anfield. “They cannot afford to do that again.”
