There were rumours that Rafael Leao might move to Chelsea this summer, but he has denied them. He says he sees his future with AC Milan and is loyal to his contract at the club.
The 24-year-old winger has scored four goals and set up seven others for the Rossoneri in Serie A this season. He is generally seen as one of the most exciting attacking players in the world of football.
Leao is now in his fifth year at the San Siro. He has really settled in to life in Milan after moving there from Lille in 2019. His efforts in Italy have caught the attention of some of Europe’s best teams, such as Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Chelsea.
Leao, on the other hand, is contracted to Milan until 2028, and last month it was said that the Portugal international had a huge €175m (£150m) release clause that would have to be paid in full by anyone wanting to sign him.
But it looks like Leao won’t be able to leave Milan any time soon, even though the seven-time European winners are 13 points behind their bitter rivals Inter Milan in Italy’s top league.
“This is my home.” I enjoy everything. Leao told the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera that she liked the shopping, fashion, and even the weather because it was like Portugal.
