I WANT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL: Box to Box Stricker Who Have more goal contributions than Erling Haaland this Season Shocks Chelsea Fans, Ready To Join Arsenal Because of UC
Victor Osimhen, a Napoli striker, is one of Chelsea’s top targets for the summer transfer window.
Chelsea reportedly has an eight-man striker shortlist, with Victor Osimhen at the top.
The Blues boast Cole Palmer, who has 16 Premier League goals this season, and Nicolas Jackson, who has nine.
However, it is evident that Mauricio Pochettino needs more, since his team is presently ninth in the standings.
However, Chelsea does have games in hand. Win those, and Europa League football may be a real possibility next season.
Chelsea wants to explain before moving Victor Osimhen.
It is well known that Osimhen’s contract has a release clause.
However, in order to sign the 25-year-old this summer, Chelsea will need to do more than just trigger the transfer.
According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, a deal will also be contingent on a signing-on fee and commissions, and Chelsea wants clarification on all of this before initiating discussions for his signing.
Romano mentioned on Substack that the contract between Chelsea and Osimhen included a signing-on fee, commissions, and an expensive release clause of €120m/€130m.
“Chelsea wants to ensure that they have a clear budget before negotiating.”
Victor Osimhen could be worth the money.
It is evident, then, that if Chelsea intends to recruit Osimhen in the next transfer window, the entire cash package for the Nigerian would have to be massive.
Looking at his performance from previous season, it may be worthwhile. Osimhen hasn’t done much this season, but in 2022/23, he scored 31 goals across all competitions.
Despite being a pricey signing, the Napoli star might be the answer to one of Chelsea’s numerous problems: a lack of a regular and productive No.9.
