“I think my time at Chelsea is Over the fans don’t need me anymore, I try to give Chelsea the best but….-Pochettino is actually gone, that was a tough watch 😭😭
Mauricio Pochettino had an unpleasant post-match interview despite Chelsea’s victory against Tottenham.
On Thursday evening, the Blues defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, keeping them in contention for European football and dealing a significant damage to their London rivals’ Champions League qualifying aspirations.
Trevoh Chalobah started the scoring for Chelsea, who doubled their advantage in the 71st minute when Cole Palmer’s free kick hit the bar and fell into the path of Nicolas Jackson, who scored into an empty net.
Victory has moved Chelsea to eighth position, just two points behind Newcastle in seventh and a probable spot in Europe next season, while Tottenham is now seven points behind Villa in their bid for fourth place, despite having a game in hand.
Despite the victory, the typically cheerful Pochettino had an unpleasant post-match interview, leading supporters to assume that he may be leaving Chelsea.
Following the match, he told Sky Sports: “Enough is enough. All managers require time to communicate their ideas and philosophy.
“It is not my decision [whether I have time]. I am not sure [whether the owners are judging me].
“It’s challenging to watch myself under examination and judgment every week.
“It is not up to me to decide whether or not to return [for the following season].
