‘I think he will fit to play for Chelsea and he is a very good goal scorer.’: Darren Bent urges Chelsea to sign 86-goals striker in coming day
‘I think he will fit to play for Chelsea.’ Darren Bent encourages Chelsea to sign 86-goal striker in coming days – CHELSEA 247
Darren Bent has urged Chelsea to go for Newcastle attacker Callum Wilson.
Bent believes that the 31-year-old’s goal-scoring skills would make him an excellent addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
Chelsea are in need of a striker, and Wilson is the latest name to be connected with them during the January transfer window. West Ham United has also apparently expressed an interest in him.
The Magpies are reportedly asking at least £18 million before selling the midfielder, who is currently injured.
I really like Callum Wilson. I am a huge fan of his. Bent told talkSPORT: “Whenever he plays, he always scores.”
“I think he would fit well for both club (Chelsea and West Ham).”
Bent went on to say, “If either side can have him, I believe it works very well. I’m not sure why I’m leaning more towards West Ham, perhaps because of their location… He’ll be starting for both clubs. If he moves to West Ham, he will start. If he moves to Chelsea, he will start.”
Wilson has 86 goals in 215 Premier League games, a respectable output for a striker. Our main issue with him is that he appears to be prone to injuries and is 31 years old, which Chelsea does not want to deal with right now, given that they already have much too much on their plate.
