Manchester City News

I did all in my power to persuade him to sign with Manchester City, but in the end, he decided to sign with Liverpool. As the saying goes, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” Rodri, a star for Man City, has stated that his £40 million Spanish teammate has committed to joining Liverpool FC in January rather than Manchester City

Arsenal is reportedly sending scouts to Girona to evaluate left-back Miguel Gutierrez, a 22-year-old prodigy who made his debut for Real Madrid in 2021. The Gunners have remained interested in him since then. Arsenal has despatched scouts in recent weeks to examine Gutierrez, who is under contract with Girona until 2027.

Gutierrez, who was born in 2001, will join Girona in 2022 for four million euros after graduating from Real Madrid’s development system. Despite having a 50% sell-on clause, Real Madrid may not pursue Gutierrez owing to probable losses in other defenders. While Girona may wish to keep him until the summer, a significant offer in January could influence their choice.

After Carney’s loan move to Real Sociedad in the summer, Arsenal began looking for a left-back successor. Nuno Tavares transferred to Nottingham Forest on loan, leaving Oleksandr Zinchenko as the only confirmed left-back. Despite Tavares’ success in the French league with Olympique de Marseille, the squad has expanded its defensive options.

Scouts have taken note of Gutierrez’s outstanding performances, which have helped Girona unexpectedly surge to the top of La Liga. With 12 appearances across all competitions and one assist, he demonstrated both attacking and defensive abilities. Arsenal recognises Gutierrez’s great play, which included 46 games for Girona.

Gutierrez, one of Europe’s top reverse full-backs, complements Mikel Arteta’s tactical philosophy by switching smoothly between attack and defence. His versatility makes him an invaluable asset to Arsenal. Scouts are constantly monitoring his improvement, and a prospective move to Arsenal could be contingent on Girona’s willingness to let him go in January.
