“I can’t play under the new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca” “I want to leave, I don’t want to be in his project” – Chelsea star has instructed Todd Boehly that he wants to Join Saudi Clu
“I cannot play under Enzo Maresca.” “I want to leave”: Chelsea star says he wants to transfer to Saudi Arabia – CHELSEA 247
A Chelsea player said that he may have reconsidered his summer move to Saudi Arabia.
This summer, the Blues will most likely have to let go of a few first-team players to make place for new signings.
Following his appointment as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor, Enzo Maresca’s first season at Stamford Bridge will be heavily dependent on fresh signings.
The club now has to persuade some teams to take a handful of players who were on loan last season and are likely surplus to requirements.
One of those players is Romelu Lukaku, who spent his second consecutive season on loan in Italy last season.
They are reportedly demanding a price of roughly £38 million in order to permanently part company with the Belgian.
Romelu Lukaku is more receptive to the Saudi Arabia transfer.
Last summer, there was speculation that he may transfer to Saudi Arabia, with teams offering high salaries for his services.
While he didn’t appear happy with the relocation at the time, he told HLN that he was now in a different place.
He stated, “I’ve often talked to Yannick about life there. He lives in a complex, yet you can find anything there.
“Saudi Arabia would not stop me. The level will only rise. To a far higher degree than most people realize. More and more football players will choose to play there. Also, because of how the supporters there see football.
“The infrastructure requires improvement, but all big European elite teams are aware that ‘Saudi Arabia is coming’. You can see it in boxing, golf, and Formula One.
Several former Blues players have ended up in Saudi Arabia, with N’golo Kante standing out in particular right now.
Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy were also sold there after leaving the first team, and Lukaku might join them shortly.
