Bruno Guimaraes says he is “really happy” at Newcastle United, but he wants to move “down the line”.

Since moving to Newcastle for £40 million from Lyon in January 2022, Guimaraes has become one of the team’s most important players and a star in the Premier League.

Last season, the 26-year-old, who is now a regular for Brazil, helped Newcastle finish fourth and make it into the Champions League.

Eddie Howe’s team has slipped this season and is now in tenth place with ten games to go, but some of the biggest clubs in the world are still interested in Guimaraes.

Manchester City, the winners of the Premier League, is rumoured to be planning a £100 million move for the 26-year-old player, but Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in him.

Manchester United has also been mentioned with Guimaraes, and the fact that Dan Ashworth, the former manager of Newcastle, is about to become the sporting director of United could make them even more interested.

Guimaraes told the press before Brazil’s friendly match against England at Wembley, “It’s always been my dream to play here.” It’s always been my dream to play in the Premier League, which I’ve always watched.
