“He’s better than anybody including Declan Rice”- Man City star Kevin De Bruyne puts rivalry aside and delivers a shocking verdict on Arsenal’s midfielder who is better than Declan Rice and must be protected if Arsenal must win the PL title- Not Odegard, and not Havertz

Kevin De Bruyne recently expressed his views on Arsenal’s midfield, singling out Thomas Partey as their standout player when everyone is available. Despite Arsenal’s recent decline in rankings, De Bruyne is optimistic about their chances of reclaiming a top position, especially with Partey’s imminent return from a prolonged injury.

Arriving at Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in October 2020, Thomas Partey was initially hailed as the successor to Patrick Vieira. Unfortunately, injuries have marred his tenure with the club, causing him to miss a total of 63 games for both club and country. His absence from the African Cup of Nations further prolongs his return, expected in the upcoming weeks.

De Bruyne remains a staunch supporter of Partey, asserting that, when in good condition, no other midfielder at Arsenal, including Declan Rice, can match the skill of the Ghanaian international. Despite concerns regarding Partey’s injury record, De Bruyne underscores his crucial role in Arsenal’s starting lineup, especially in the holding midfield position.

In the current season, Thomas Partey has only started three Premier League games, playing a mere 15 minutes since September. Although Arsenal has coped reasonably well without him, his absence has become more noticeable in recent matches. The timeline for Partey’s return remains uncertain as he continues his recovery from surgery, and Arsenal is cautious not to hasten his comeback.

De Bruyne’s endorsement implies that with Thomas Partey’s return, Arsenal’s overall strength will see a significant boost. If they can maintain his fitness throughout the season, they have a promising chance of competing for the Premier League title.
