Mauricio Pochettino asked to sell Chelsea star following howler against Leeds United.

Axel Disasi, a Chelsea defender, was warned to “leave the club” following a huge error against Leeds in the FA Cup encounter.

The 25-year-old has been an important element of Chelsea’s defence this season, appearing in 34 games across all competitions. However, the defender had a difficult start to the encounter on Wednesday night, making a dreadful mistake that culminated in Leeds scoring their first goal.

The error occurred eight minutes into the game at Stamford Bridge when goalkeeper Robert Sanchez passed the ball to Disasi on the edge of the penalty area. Disasi hesitated, and two Leeds players intercepted the ball intended for Moises Caicedo.

Leeds took a 1-0 lead on March 2, 2024, after Caicedo fumbled the ball and Mateo Joseph shot past Sanchez. Chelsea fans were dismayed by Disasi and Caicedo’s poor play.

One irritated fan yelled, “Disasi, just leave dude. You add nothing to this team. Poch f*** off, man. Your teams are never good. “Never,” says The Daily Star.

Another added: “I’m delighted to see the genuine Disasi is back after a good two games. Donkey.” A third member of the team responded: “Disasi with another mistake and blaming it on his teammate again.” Another supporter commented, “Absolute trash. Disasi and Caicedo have horrible ball skills.”

Fortunately for Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson swiftly compensated for Disasi’s error at the opposite end of the pitch. Only 15 minutes into the game, the often-criticised striker equalised for the Blues.

Chelsea then took the lead thanks to a goal from Mykhailo Mudryk, but Joseph equalised for the visitors once more. However, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher crushed Leeds fans’ hearts with a late goal, securing a 3-2 victory for the Blues and advancing them to the next round. Chelsea will now face Championship club Leicester City in the quarterfinals.
