GOODNEWS for Former Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel as he has been appointed as the manager of this shocking premier league club
With Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United stint perhaps coming to an end soon, supporters have expressed varying thoughts on who they would want to see replace him, with Thomas Tuchel leading the way.
The 54-year-old manager has a critical period ahead after the stalemate with Aston Villa on Sunday stretched their winless streak to five games. The result placed them in 14th position in the Premier League.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer, co-owners, were at Old Trafford on Monday for discussions with CEO Omar Berrada and Sir Dave Brailsford, Ineos’ head of sport. On Tuesday, Ratcliffe and other senior executives met in London, and Ten Hag’s future was among the topics discussed.
Ten Hag, on the other hand, is not concerned with the future and is instead focused on getting things right now. Following the game at Villa Park, he believed the United administration would have informed him if he was under pressure.
“I have no idea what is different since they should have informed me. “We communicate quite openly and transparently,” he remarked. “I would say we communicate every day, so I anticipate to speak with them. You phrased it pretty well: external noise. Internally, we are disappointed. We realize we need to improve. Specifically, we need to score more.”
Several names have arisen as prospective replacements for the Dutch manager, including Thomas Tuchel, who formerly led Chelsea. Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ten Hag’s assistant, might assume interim control, while Gareth Southgate has also been mentioned.
In a Manchester Evening News survey, supporters chose nine possible next managers. Tuchel won the most votes (29%), with Zinedine Zidane coming in second (16%).
Van Nistelrooy won the third most votes (12%), after only former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, who each received 6%. Meanwhile, five per cent of fans voted for Michael Carrick while Kieran McKenna (four per cent), Graham Potter (four per cent) and Southgate (three per cent) received the fewest votes.
