Good news has been announced for Jone Stones this morning after he dropped a 25 word message in his social media handles after being forced out in Mid week match against Everton
City of Manchester
Manchester City finished 2023 with a Premier League victory over Sheffield United, and injured star John Stones posted a message on social media.
Pep Guardiola’s side scooped up three more points after beating Everton 3-1 earlier this week to close the gap on leaders Liverpool to just two points.
City dominated the game, with Sheffield United attempting to defend effectively and counterattack.
But chances were few and far between, and City just possessed far too much talent, with Phil Foden arguably the star of the show at the Etihad Stadium.
Rodri and Julian Alvarez scored for the hosts, while Kevin De Bruyne sat on the bench after returning from injury to the matchday squad.
Hopefully, another injured player will return soon, as John Stones expressed optimism following yesterday’s game…

Pep Guardiola raised some eyebrows after speaking about Stones’ injury following the game against Everton.
The England international slid in to block Beto, injuring his ankle, which was unnecessary given that the offside flag was waved.
After the game, Guardiola stated that the injury “does not look good.”
It is yet unknown how long Stones could be out. Pep did imply that he could return for Newcastle United or after warm-weather training in Abu Dhabi, but he did not speak with any surety.
Stones got in with fans on social media after the triumph yesterday to alleviate fears that he’ll be sidelined for a lengthy period.
“So good to finish the year with a win, what a year it’s been!!” he posted on Instagram. I’m sorry I couldn’t participate today, but I’ll be back soon.”
Stones can still play a significant role for City this season.
Stones, who was such an important player last season in route to the Treble, has had a miserable season thus far.
He is a fantastic player who excels at the hybrid role, with City possibly never looked stronger than when he and Rodri were patrolling together in the middle of last season.
It’s been a difficult time for him recently, but injuries have always been a worry for Stones.
However, he can still play a significant role for City this season. According to what he has stated on social media, he won’t be out for long, which is a great plus.
Hopefully, he can recover quickly and gain some momentum in the second half of the season.
