Ange Postecoglou tackles a Tottenham supporter before delivering an icy press conference following a 2-0 loss to Manchester City.

The Australian got into a fight with a supporter behind the Spurs dugout and criticized the club’s current status while speaking to the media.

Defeat eliminated their chances of qualifying for the Champions League, as Manchester City replaced Arsenal at the top of the league and moved two points clear of them heading into the final day of the season.

In the lead-up to the key game, Postecoglou was upset by accusations that his squad and fans would be willing to lose in order to prevent rivals Arsenal from winning the title.

He stated, “I understand the rivalry, but I’ve never and will never understand why someone wants their own team to lose. “That is not what sports are about.”

Despite the fact that it was one of both teams’ most important games of the season, the mood inside the stadium was rather subdued.

Some Spurs fans playfully celebrated City’s goals, with some performing the Poznan, as City did against Fulham last weekend.

Postecoglou addressed a spectator on the sideline during Tuesday night’s game, and video footage shows him yelling back.

The 58-year-old leader gestured to a fan and said, “What did you say before that? “Just so I know who you are.”

@SecretPrem tweeted: “I was there; the fan kept telling Ange to toss the game throughout the game, and Ange ultimately lost it at him.”
