This tremendous success propelled the team to win the Premier League in 2012/13, the FA Cup in 2016, the Europa League in 2016/17, two Carabao Cup wins, and three Community Shield victories.
It’s no wonder that, with such an outstanding collection of trophies to his name, coupled with the Europa League and UEFA Supercup championships he won at Atletico, de Gea was chosen as Spain’s first choice goalkeeper, earning 45 caps for the country.
