Former Manchester United Captain and Journalist Gary Neville has been appointed as the manager of Shocking European Club this evening
Before the general election next month, former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has earned himself a new employment inside the Labour Party.
After retiring from professional football, Neville has become most well-known for serving as a commentator on Sky Sports. Currently, he is presenting on ITV covering Euro 2024 in Germany. Still, the ex-United man has not avoided politics.
Neville slammed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as well as the host nation for low wages and inadequate working conditions at the Qatar World Cup. Reacting to the former United man, the Conservative Party leader said he “stick to football,” which prompted the title for his podcast featuring Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright, and Jill Scott.
For Neville, who is presently in Germany working for ITV as a commentator for Euro 2024, it marks again another trip away from football. On Wednesday, though, he did not show up on our screens; Danny Rohl, Karen Carney, and Ian Wright were on duty for the exciting Albania v Croatia game instead. Shortly following that game, the Labour Party disclosed a link-up between the former United and England defender who also starred on Dragons Den earlier this year.
Neville has supported Labour in the past by attending events connected to them, but for the first time it appears he will be on a party political broadcast on Wednesday night. The Labour Party tweeted to its supporters letting them know Neville will be accompanying their leader, Sir Keir Starmer.
Neville will be interviewing Starmer on his hopes of becoming Prime Minister after July 4 and the path the Labour leader has gone on to achieve this position in what seems to be a similar manner to the material he produces with professional athletes.
Due to the Euro 2024 matchup between Germany and Hungary in Group A, the interview will be shown on ITV at 6:25pm and on BBC One an hour later at 7:25pm.
