FIFA has just announced VERY SAD NEWS for the Officials and Referees of the match between Manchester United Vs Liverpool for Controversial penalty that drew Liverpool 2:2 with Man U and this have cost them thier Job.
Erik ten Hag reminded his Manchester United team that they needed to win more duels and switch play faster following a disappointing first-half performance against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
United had not played in the first 45 minutes and trailed 1-0 at halftime, albeit they could have been farther behind after failing to register a shot while Liverpool had 15.
However, they improved significantly after the break, with Bruno Fernandes capitalizing on a Jarell Quansah error to score from 45 yards and Kobbie Mainoo putting them ahead before Mohamed Salah’s penalty rescued a 2-2 draw.
“I think the most important thing was that when we had key moments in the first half, we lost the duels, and our decision-making in the half spaces was slow,” he remarked.
“We encouraged the team at halftime to win those duels, because if you win those and then make a transition to the far side half space, you will generate an overload. We did not take advantage in the first half, but we did in the second half.
We needed a chance to punish a mistake, and that put us back in the game.” Mainoo’s goal was a standout finish, and Ten Hag was especially happy since it was a move from the training ground targeted at sliding the ball over and attacking the gaps in Liverpool’s formation.
“It was a really fantastic team goal, a goal that came out of the game plan, and I’m extremely proud that the team was able to transfer this the way we did, to move the ball to the far side half space, switch, and finish brilliantly,” he said.
