Chelsea’s dejected players collapsed to their knees at full-time, and the last thing they needed was to be mocked as they went to collect their runners-up trophies.
That is exactly what happened when Mauricio Pochettino and his players walked the steps to the famed Wembley balcony.
On social media, footage has emerged of a Liverpool fan insulting Fernandez before the player reacts.
As Fernandez walked up the steps behind Mykhailo Mudryk, the fan exclaimed, “Enzo, unlucky lad,” before chuckling.
Enzo paused and stared at his tormentor for a second or two before a teammate led him up the steps and away from the possible flashpoint.
The fan found the entire event hilarious and continued to laugh loudly as the World Cup winner walked away.

Some fans accused Manchester City of ridiculing their former player Cole Palmer with an ill-times post on X.
