DONE DEAL ✅Chelsea have just ANNOUNCED the signing of £18million Newscastle player in Shocking scene this evening-medicals has been booked player will arrive in London Two years contract signed

Wilson’s future has been more unclear this month as a result of Newcastle’s need to let go of players to make sure they don’t violate the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.

Since the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund acquired Newcastle in 2021, the club has spent more than £400 million on new players. Wilson is one of several first-team players who have been linked to leaving in January as the Magpies attempt to balance the books, along with Miguel Almiron, Kieran Trippier, and Jamaal Lascelles.

According to reports, Newcastle may be prepared to sell the 31-year-old for as little as £18 million, which has alerted their Premier League rivals to the possibility of a low-ball agreement.

In recent seasons, Wilson has established himself as one of England’s most reliable and sought-after goal scorers, and Chelsea is said to have shown a keen interest in the striker.

This week, reports surfaced that Arsenal and Manchester United, two teams that have long admired the England international, are also closely monitoring events as they search the market for offensive reinforcements.

It has been an unusual one. At his Friday pre-game press conference, Howe responded to questions about the suspicions circling Wilson by saying, “A lot of speculation and a lot of it unfounded.”

He plays a significant role in all we do. Our two strikers need to get back to full fitness immediately.

“He looks good and is getting close to returning from injury.” He is making progress.

“It is not in my best interest to lose him.”

The head coach of Newcastle continued, saying, “He’s 100% committed in every conversation.” He is not searching in any other direction.

He has high goals, and we want to keep him on staff. However, certain things are beyond our power.

“The club is behaving in the club’s best interests going forward because they have to.” Watch what transpires.

Wilson has also attracted significant interest from abroad, with European powerhouses AC Milan and Atletico Madrid keeping an eye on a possible trade for the former Coventry City forward.

Wilson, who has nine caps for the Three Lions, moved from Bournemouth to St. James’ Park in 2020. In 102 games in all competitions, Wilson has scored 46 goals for the Toon.

Wilson signed a one-year contract extension in September of last year, tying him to Newcastle till 2025.

During his news conference, Howe also addressed the speculation about Trippier’s future, emphasising that, despite persistent rumours linking the full-back with Bayern Munich, the England international has never requested to quit the team.

“A few remarks regarding Kieran’s circumstances.” He stated, “We really believe he will be a part of our long-term future and we hope he stays.”

But let me be clear: he has never expressed a desire to leave or even to consider his future here.

The topic of conversation between us over the past week has consistently been Newcastle. It’s crucial that I clarify that. His dedication to Newcastle is unquestionable.
