Pearce thinks the 22-year-old Premier League player would do well at Man City.
Pearce suggested that Manchester City sign Michael Olise.
Manchester United has bought players from other Premier League teams before. This has been done before by Jack Grealish, Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic, and more.
But now, a professional who used to run City has chosen a Premier League player that he thinks would do well with Pep Guardiola’s team.
Pearce believes Olise would do well at City.
When asked on talkSPORT if he thought Olise could play for a top team for the first time, Pearce said this.
“I’ve seen him a few times recently, so the answer is yes,” he stated. No, not Manchester United. It’s City of Man.
Read more about Manchester City here: “I saw him play against Chelsea.” Even though he lost, I thought he was the best player on the pitch. That’s how he handled the ball and knew when to keep it.
“I could see him with a City shirt on.”
The 22-year-old is said to have gone to City schools for a year before going on to Reading. In 2021, he joined Palace for what was said to be £8m.
He has played 80 times since then in all competitions and has scored 11 goals and set up 20 others.
Olise has only played in nine Premier League games this season, but he has scored five goals and created many more chances than anyone else (20 key passes and 5.85 shots per 90 minutes).
This season, City has scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League. The Palace star would probably fit in well with Guardiola’s team.
Owls manager Roy Hodgson talked about Olise in April and said he was a “wonderful” player who would do well in his career. We think that might happen to him if he ever moves to City.
