Last month, the 17-year-old played as captain for Argentina at the Under-17 World Cup. He has also already played his first professional game for River, who are currently second in the league.
Even if they made a deal in January, City wouldn’t bring Echeverri to the Etihad right away. It’s more likely that he’ll stay at River to grow, like Alvarez did, but they could find another player.
