Nathan Ake says he really doesn’t want a vital player to leave Manchester City.
Nathan Ake has revealed that he does not even “want to think” about the possibility of Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City.
After Jurgen Klopp announced that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, many wondered when City’s manager would do the same.
However, following the Sky Blues’ latest 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur, Guardiola revealed that he may extend his term beyond 2025, when his current contract with the club expires.
Nathan Ake says he doesn’t even want to think about Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City.
Despite spending eight years at the Etihad Stadium, it appears that the £378,846-per-week guy still has the fire in his gut to compete for the biggest prizes in club football at City.
When asked about Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City, Nathan Ake confessed he doesn’t like the sound of it.

Shows Nathan Ake has complete faith in the Catalan boss.
Manchester City defender Nathan Ake continues to have complete faith in his manager, Pep Guardiola.
After signing for the club in 2020 and working under Guardiola’s rigorous demands for perfection, it’s understandable that a player like Ake would be burned out by his instructions, as is often the case at multiple teams.
However, one would expect the Dutchman to be grateful to the Catalan manager, who made him a crucial player of his team last season.
Before Manchester City’s treble-winning season, Nathan Ake was a bit-part player, but Pep Guardiola seemed to believe he had the potential to become a world-class defender.
Guardiola’s faith in Ake has paid off, and it appears that the former Chelsea centre-back wishes to continue being mentored by perhaps the best coach in world football.
