It is also reported that Manchester City will only have to pay £10 million for Savio, whilst any other European club seeking to recruit the attacker would have to spend three times that amount.

The Daily Star describes this development as a setback to Real Madrid, who see the 19-year-old as a potential successor to Vinicius Junior.

Savio has five goals and seven assists in 21 La Liga matches this season, as Girona unexpectedly leads the table.
