Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca decision will be made, REECE JAMES has been named as one of the few players that will be sold this January

Chelsea captain Reece James has gotten into the holiday spirit by wishing fans a “Merry Christmas” on social media, marking a welcome return to first-team training. The 23-year-old has been out of commission for nine consecutive games across all competitions, sidelined by a nagging hamstring issue that’s become all too familiar.

James initially suffered a similar injury during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the USA, forcing him to miss the team’s first 11 games. He made a highly anticipated comeback in a 2-1 Premier League loss to Liverpool, but his latest setback has kept him on the sidelines.

In a pre-match press conference before Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Everton, assistant coach Enzo Maresca confirmed James’ return to training, albeit with a cautious approach. “Reece will start with us for part of the session, and from there, we’ll try to build the right conditions for him,” Maresca explained.

While James’ return is a boost for the team, Maresca emphasized the importance of managing his comeback carefully to avoid any further setbacks. As Chelsea looks to regain momentum in the Premier League, James’ gradual reintroduction to the team will be a welcome development.
