If Chelsea is found to have broken Premier League rules about money, they will lose more points than Nottingham Forest and Everton.
Since Todd Boehly joined in 2022, the Blues have spent more than £1 billion on new players.
But the League’s profit and sustainable rules say that clubs can’t lose more than £105 million in three years.
Both Everton and Forest have been caught this season, and both teams have lost points.

After an appeal, the league took away six points from Everton.
Forest, on the other hand, are now in the drop zone after losing four points.
Chelsea has not been charged yet, and the club has also been through a lot of player sales.
This summer, more are expected to leave because high-paid players like Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga have been linked with Saudi Arabia.
The Blues might not make it to Europe for the second season in a row, though.
That would cost them a lot of money, especially since Boehly wants to get a world-class striker.
Stefan Borson, a financial expert, says that Chelsea would lose a lot of points if they are charged with and found guilty of breaking Premier League rules about money.
He told talkSPORT, “Maybe worse (than Forest and Everton)”
“I think the losses they’re predicting right now are much bigger than what Everton and Nottingham Forest could handle.”
He went on to say that Chelsea’s finances are already in bad shape: “There was an assumption with Mason Mount because it was announced on Manchester United’s website on July 1 that [his sale] had been put off until this season.”
“That means the £55 million profit came from this season.” It turns out that Mason Mount was bought and sold in 2022 or 2023, which is how they got around the FFP rules.
“Which means they’ve got a £55m bigger hole this season,” host Simon Jordan said.
He went on, “Correct, because we also know from BlueCo’s financial records that they are currently, from events that happened after the balance sheet, making about £48 million this year.”
“However, from a business point of view, this year is going to be even worse than last year because they don’t have the Champions League or Europe at all.”
When asked about possible Chelsea players leaving, he said, “Those kinds of deals need to be made.” Also, everything has to be done by June 30. That is made clear in the Forest ruling, as we all know.
“People talk a lot about how tough it is to sell players before June. It was pretty much said by the Premier League that it was impossible.
Then Jordan said, “What Stefan is basically saying is that it’s impossible that Chelsea won’t be facing a charge from the Premier League for breaching Financial Fair Play by December of next year, unless there’s a complete sea change in the rules or a complete re-rowing back from that point of view.”
“If you look at Chelsea’s numbers, they’ll be in the same situation next year as Nottingham Forest and Everton unless they sell around £200 million worth of players, which means the players you think they’re least likely to sell.”
