Chelsea are considering summer move for 24-year old Serie A striker
Chelsea is reportedly contemplating a summer transfer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, despite their signings of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the previous summer. Struggling to score goals this season, the Blues currently sit eleventh in the Premier League after a home loss to Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Fichajes suggests that Chelsea, aiming to bolster their squad at the end of the current campaign, may target Vlahovic from Juventus. The Serbian forward has recently found his scoring form, and reports indicate that Juventus could be open to selling him for a fee of £68 million.
Both Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have identified Vlahovic as a “big target,” presenting a challenging decision for the striker regarding his summer destination. Chelsea has made moves to strengthen their offensive options, allowing Armando Broja to sign a one-year loan agreement with Fulham, their West London neighbors.
Looking ahead to the 2024–2025 season, Chelsea is expected to secure a new striker, although the long-term future of Broja at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain. Other players linked to Chelsea include Ivan Toney from Brentford and Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
While Osimhen comes with a hefty £111 million release clause in his contract, Vlahovic appears to be a more viable target for Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window, given the Napoli star’s ongoing struggles with injuries. As the summer approaches, Vlahovic faces a pivotal decision between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, with both clubs keen to secure his services.
