Brighton star Evan Ferguson is set to leave them to join Premier League giants in a £100m move
Chelsea are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
Chelsea signed Moises Caicedo from Brighton last summer, and the Evening Standard reports that they are now interested in another of their players, Evan Ferguson.
After his side’s 1-0 win against Fulham yesterday, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the club’s interest in the 19-year-old, and the Argentine reacted. During his post-match press conference, he spoke with football.london and other outlets.
Chelsea defeated Fulham courtesy to a penalty awarded to Raheem Sterling.
Pochettino congratulated the England international on his victory and Cole Palmer on his performance from the spot.
Mauricio Pochettino is being cryptic about Evan Ferguson.
When asked about Ferguson, Pochettino was keen to remind media that he does not discuss players from other clubs.
“You know very well that I don’t talk about rumours or players who are at another club,” Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho stated. “I am quite polite. We are not conversing. We are assessing the squad, and if anything changes, we will notify you. We haven’t made any decisions yet.”

Should Evan Ferguson be signed by Chelsea this summer?
If you’re a Chelsea fan, you’d like the club to sign an experienced and established No.9 like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
If that is not doable, Ferguson, depending on how he closes this season, could be a viable option.
The Republic of Ireland international has the physique of a Premier League centre forward. He is not, for example, the smallest striker, standing at 6 ft 0. And his six goals in 18 outings is not bad for a player his age.
Ferguson could be a viable option if he finishes the season in double figures. However, as of now, he may not have done enough to justify Chelsea’s lavish expenditure on him.
