“Before the Carabao Cup final, i WILL NOT fire Mauricio Pochettino, HE has plans for the club. And I will give him time. – Chelsea Owner Todd Boehly has sent warning message to Chelsea Fans who want Pochettino to be Sacked
Chelsea is now at the bottom of the table, having won none of their last three games.
However, Mauricio Pochettino will face Liverpool at Wembley.
Since the new owner came over in May, the club has spent almost £1 billion in transfer fees.
Chelsea remain in mid-table. They have surrendered four goals in each of their past two league games—first against
Liverpool and then Wolves – and now lie 11th with 31 points, 20 behind Klopp.
Despite growing criticism and pressure on Pochettino, the Standard stated that he
“maintains the support of the Chelsea hierarchy” and has “no plans for another mid-season managerial change” .
As a result, Argentina will lead by the Carabao Cup final on February 25.
Chelsea faces Aston Villa and Manchester City before that, so preparation will be difficult.
Interestingly, the Mail reported that Chelsea is “concerned” that another move could “risk breaching Premier League spending rules” after failing to fire their fourth manager in three years.
Pochettino has 18 months left on his contract, and his dismissal will cost Chelsea “more than £10m” more for his squad, as well as profit and stability clauses.
They are already under fire for their excessive spending, with many anticipating a slew of player sales during the summer transfer window to balance the books.
The London club signed players to contracts that were too long to use the now-closed loophole.
According to Athletic, some players “expressed personal regret” and “didn’t see the big project they were sold for”.
Isn’t that surprising?
