Arsenal Gunners News

Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta has finally spoken out on why his been benching Ramsdale lately and giving him little playing time.

Ben Jacobs suggests that Aaron Ramsdale might consider a move to West Ham United as a potential solution to his dwindling playing time in North London. Having lost his starting position at Arsenal to David Raya, Ramsdale is likely seeking more minutes on the pitch elsewhere. At West Ham, where Alphonse Areola is currently the favored goalkeeper under David Moyes, Ramsdale could be seen as an upgrade in the goalkeeping department due to his youthfulness.

Jacobs points out that Ramsdale, being younger than Areola, might find the prospect of joining West Ham enticing. While Areola has performed well, Ramsdale’s youth could be an advantage for the London club. Furthermore, there could be interest from European clubs if Ramsdale considers moving abroad, although his preference seems to be staying in the Premier League.

Considering Ramsdale’s age and potential longevity as a goalkeeper, Jacobs speculates that West Ham might pursue him. Despite Areola’s solid performances, Ramsdale’s arrival could provide healthy competition and enhance the squad’s depth. However, Ramsdale, who currently earns £120,000-a-week at Arsenal, may need to adjust his wage demands if he wishes to secure a move to West Ham.

Nevertheless, Ramsdale’s addition to the squad could prove beneficial for West Ham as they seek to strengthen their goalkeeping options for the upcoming season. Whether Ramsdale will make the switch from North London to East London remains to be seen, but West Ham could be an attractive destination for him as he looks to reignite his career and secure regular playing time.
