Alejandro Garnacho has rejected a move to Chelsea in the last minute to join this Premier League club

Chelsea’s attacking lineup is poised for significant changes before the January transfer window closes. Despite current challenges in midfield and defense, the Blues have focused on bolstering their attack. Following links to Mathys Tel, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho, Chelsea are now zeroing in on the Manchester United star, with a bid imminent.
If successful, Garnacho’s arrival would raise questions about Enzo Maresca’s starting front four. Cole Palmer is almost certain to retain his spot, given his impressive form, with 14 goals and six assists in 22 games.
Joao Felix has impressed in cameo appearances, but Palmer’s position is secure. To facilitate Garnacho’s signing, Chelsea might consider offloading Christopher Nkunku, which would ease their financial burden and simplify Maresca’s team selection.
Carney Chukwuemeka is also free to leave Stamford Bridge, having played just 130 minutes this season. On the right flank, Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke are vying for the starting spot, with Madueke currently holding the position.
However, Neto’s impact off the bench could see him regain the spot. On the left flank, Garnacho would compete with Jadon Sancho, who joined Chelsea on loan last summer. While Sancho has performed well since arriving, Garnacho’s impressive goal contributions – over double Sancho’s – make a strong case for his inclusion.
As Garnacho settles into his new surroundings, Sancho will likely remain in the starting XI. However, it seems inevitable that Garnacho will eventually replace Sancho, bringing a more potent attacking threat to Chelsea’s lineup.
