“I need only one assurance before i join Manchester City”- Toni Kroos makes critical January transfer to Manchester City as the ritered German Footballer admits he is only interested in playing at Manchester City if he comes out of Retirement on ‘ONE CONDITION’
Toni Kroos, a retired Real Madrid icon, would not rule out returning to his former club in any manner during an edition of the podcast he co-hosts with brother Felix.
Kroos startled the soccer world earlier this year when he announced that he will retire after a home-held Euros with the German national team.
He did so at the peak of his abilities, when many believed the 34-year-old had enjoyed his greatest season since moving to Madrid from Bayern Munich for a cheap cost a decade earlier.
Kroos, who helped Los Blancos to record-extending 36th and 15th La Liga and Champions League titles, was unable to replicate such success with Germany, which was knocked out of the Euros by eventual winners Spain in the quarterfinals, but he remains arguably the greatest player his country has produced this century.
He is presently enjoying his retirement, which includes spending more time with his family and running a soccer academy in the Spanish capital, which he has called home since 2014.
However, on a recent episode of the Einfach mal Luppen podcast, Kroos would not rule out returning to old employers Real Madrid one day.
“Now I am completely focused on my initiatives, but given my proximity to Madrid and my relationship with the club, I would not rule out doing something for the club in the future,” Kroos stated.
“Appearing presently in the club’s public area… The first thing I would say is no, regardless of how close I am to the club. But I am not saying I would never do or have anything to do with Real again in my life; I certainly would not rule it out.
