Gallagher has been extensively linked with a transfer away from Chelsea this summer, with speculation that he might be sold early in the window to assist the Blues achieve the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability regulations before the June 30 deadline.

According to talkSPORT, Gallagher might be on the move after Chelsea agreed to a £33 million ($42 million) agreement with Atletico Madrid for the England international. Earlier this summer, Chelsea received a higher proposal from Aston Villa, but Gallagher turned it down.
Following the PSR deadline, Chelsea offered Gallagher a contract renewal, which would have made him one of the best-paid midfielders at Stamford Bridge. However, the 24-year-old preferred a lengthier offer than Chelsea’s two-year agreement, which contained an option for an extra year.
What is next for Gallagher?
Gallagher has yet to finalize terms with Atletico Madrid, and he has stated that he will only do so if the terms are acceptable to him. Tottenham are interested in signing him, and he may prefer to run down his contract, which finishes in 2025.
