Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca is Set to Sign £35Million Manchester United FLOP Player who Erig Ten Hag don’t want in his squad
Chelsea are in talks to sign Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to Brazilian reports.
Enzo Maresca’s side has already signed five players this summer: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Renato Veiga, Marc Guiu, and Tosin Adarabioyo.
However, they are still looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Premier League season, and a new central midfielder is on the club’s shortlist.
According to Globo, Chelsea has already contacted Pereira’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, to discuss the Brazilian international’s potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the report, Maresca personally approved Chelsea’s move to sign Pereira, and the club is willing to pay Fulham up to £35 million.
Meanwhile, Pereira is said to have reached a verbal agreement with Fulham to leave Craven Cottage if an acceptable offer is made.
Monaco, which finished second in Ligue 1 last season and will compete in the revamped Champions League this season, has also made an approach for Joorabchian.
However, Pereira would want to remain in London and join Chelsea.
Chelsea have identified Pereira as a potential replacement for Conor Gallagher, who may leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the summer transfer window due to a year remaining on his contract.
Pereira, meanwhile, appeared three times as a substitute for Brazil in the Copa America this summer and is currently on vacation in the United States with his family.
He will report to Fulham’s pre-season camp in Portugal at the end of the month.
Fulham signed Pereira for £10 million from Manchester United two years ago. Last season, in 37 Premier League games, the Brazilian scored three goals and assisted seven times.
