Chelsea Football Club has released VERY SAD NEWS on Enzo Fernandez following ‘r@cis chant’ and explain exactly what is going to happen to the Argentine international

Following the circulation of a video featuring Enzo Fernandez and his Argentina teammates performing a song deemed “racist” about the French national team, Chelsea issued a formal statement.

The incident occurred after Argentina’s victory over Colombia in the Copa America final. Fernandez went live on Instagram, where several Argentine players were heard chanting lyrics targeting French players with familial ties to African countries, highlighting their mixed heritage. The chant referenced players with Angolan, Nigerian, and Cameroonian ancestry, despite their French nationality.

The France Football Federation (FFF) responded with a stern condemnation. President Philippe Diallo criticized the discriminatory remarks, labeling them inappropriate and racially abusive. The FFF announced plans to report the incident to FIFA for further action.

In response, Fernandez, a key player in Argentina’s 1-0 win over Colombia, posted an apology on Instagram early Wednesday. He expressed deep regret for participating in the chant, acknowledging the offensive nature of the song. Fernandez emphasized that the song’s language did not reflect his values or personality and apologized for his actions during the Copa America celebrations.

Chelsea clarified their stance by initiating an internal disciplinary process to address the situation. This action underscores the club’s commitment to confronting and rectifying instances of discrimination and inappropriate behavior among its players.
